New Year, New Attempts...
Quick update, we had Dani home for a while over the holidays, she is now back at it attending BYU-I for her second year. I cant believe anyone would willingly sign up for the cold she experiences there. I guess it is made up for with the warm spiritual things she is also experiencing.

Wyatt is busy, busy busy, in fact we just about have to pay him to spend a little time at home with us old people. He is still in Scouts with only a few merit badges to finish to complete his Eagle. He is involved in the fire department. He has his own department though its not the same one as his dads. Kind of funny. He is busy with his school work hoping to pull off a graduation miracle this coming June.

Chris is... yep you guessed it still fighting fire, and loving to ride his motorcycle!

Me, well I am just trying to keep up. Working and loving my job. Molly (my dog) and I hold down the fort at the office and try to keep the boys straight.

I will threw in some new pictures just for good measure....

"Ketchup" Game

Let’s have a little “ketchup” game....... so for me I finished my 1st semester here at BYU-Idaho and loved it even with the freezing cold temps. It was the best place I could have ever have chosen to gone. However after the semester ended I packed all my stuff up left it in my car in the school parking lot for a week and went back to NC, had the greatest time there. Did not stop the entire time, in fact I think I visited the entire town and then some. LOL Then I hopped on a plane the LAX (JK) just back to Salt Lake City, were I then stayed the night with my roommate and meets up with an old NC missionary and hung out with him. Then came back to school and planed on moving in when we got here on Monday with school starting on Tuesday. However when we got to the apartment there was 7 girls assigned to a 6 girl apartment so the girl that had to move out was out with her boyfriend and did not come back till 9pm that night. Therefore I could not move in till 9pm the night before school started. Well I got moved in completely now and after changing one of my classes 3 times I am ready to roll through the semester. LOL Did I mention my singles was gets to meet in a chapel not in a classroom. YAY team. LOL but yea, LOVE my ward and it is only the second week, so today was fast Sunday and it was the most amazing meeting ever I did not get to bare my testimony but it was amazing. when they turned the time over to us a mad rush of people ran up to the pulpit and if you were not one of the first ones up there to the pulpit then you were not going to get to bare your testimony for the day. There was not a silent moment at the meeting. LOL

I have arrived!!!!!!!

So I have arrived at BYU-Idaho and I am loving it so far. Although the school has keep us busy with things to do every min. And today when we went to church it was a little weird going to church in meeting rooms about the crossroads (which is the cafeteria) but the spirit was still very strong and the gospel was still true LOL. then later on sunday night I went to the fireside and Elder Ronald J. Hammond of the 70nd spoke to us about how we are at the school of discipleship and also he said something that really hit home for me about the scriptures. He said this, that like we read of the people in the new and old testaments as well as the BOM and the D&C, one day others will be reading about us and looking at or lives and wonder how we lived lives so close to the Lord and and also how we lived rightouslly in a time that the world was so evil, just like we look at the people it the scriptures. So I have stayed in the dorm for 2 days now and I am getting to now my roomates and they are lots of fun. So i think that is about it for now, o and the weather it is not as bad as everyone told me it would be I LOVE IT HERE, I love that the spirit is all over campus no matter were u go you feel the sprirt.

Its Haunted!!!

Ok so the saga begins, Chris was given permission to order himself a new work truck when the budget was approved in July. They ran down to the local "Tarheel Chevy" Dealership and ordered a 09 Chevy Silverado, extended cab. Great, its on its way!

NOPE! It was on back order for 3-4 months, by the way has now been upgraded to a 2101 since it took so long... When it finally came in, it sat at the dealership for 3 weeks waiting for the billing to get straightened out, and for the wench, push bar and bed liner to get sprayed in it. The wench is on back order, so last Wednesday that took it down to Durham to have the lights and sirens put on it and the guy who does the lettering came down there and did his thing too. They reported back to the fire chief that the truck was haunted... they put everything on the truck, put it all back together and one of the strobes in the tail lights blew out, fixed it, only to turn them on again and the light bar wouldn't work except one LED that was working on its own. Took it back apart, found that the brand new strobe motor was bad, had to replace it. We then took it back to Tarheel to have the wench that finally came in on it and have the rims replace with chrome, they said the wench that was sent was for a 4 wheeler and would not fit and the first three tires went on great, the forth one was bent. The truck is still setting at RFD Station 1 unfinished. But looks great just the same! Maybe you will have your truck for the new Year Chris....
